Those who have been labeled with a crime or who have done a crime outside of Canada may be ineligible for entry into that country.

However, there are ways to get past this barrier and enter Canada, even if you have a felony record:

By Filling Out A Rehab Application

If the offense would be considered an indictable offense in Canada with a maximum term of imprisonment of ten years, they may be considered rehabilitated if 10 years have passed since they completed the sentence imposed or since they committed the offense.

If the crime is one that would be tried quickly in Canada, and if the offender has been convicted of two or more summary offenses, the time for recovery is at least five years after the conclusion of the punishment.
