Permanent Residency travel Document

A Temporary Resident Permit may be granted to an individual who is needed to enter Canada but is prohibited due to illness or illegal reasons, or who does not otherwise satisfy the requirements of the Canadian Immigration Act or Regulations. (TRP).

For a limited period and for a specific reason, an unqualified individual may enter the nation with the help of a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP). The applicant must provide convincing evidence of an urgent need to join Canada. A Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) only grants the holder limited entry into Canada.

In order to be admitted to Canada, applicants must demonstrate that their need to join and remain in Canada outweighs the danger to Canadians’ health and safety. A temporary resident permit (TRP) is typically granted for the duration of your trip to Canada but may be extended in certain circumstances. (i.e. a few weeks up to 2-3 years).
